Find your fit

Police services across Ontario come in all shapes and sizes. Each offers its own mix of opportunities, challenges and ways to serve. Whether you’re drawn to a close-knit community, a fast-paced urban centre, or a culturally rooted environment, there’s a path that can match your goals and values.

That’s why we have developed a short, interactive survey to help you discover which option might be the best fit for you.

Small police services

Officers in small services become familiar, trusted faces in their communities. You will take on a wide range of calls and develop into a well-rounded officer. The experience is hands-on, community-focused and ideal for those who value close connection and personal growth.

Medium police services

Medium-sized services offer the best of both worlds. You still build strong relationships with the community while gaining access to specialized units. There’s room to grow, opportunities to focus your skills along with the support of a collaborative team environment.

Indigenous POlice

Indigenous services offer culturally informed, community-based policing rooted in trust, tradition and respect. Officers often serve the communities they’re from, balancing law enforcement with proactive, compassionate engagement. These services are typically smaller and more remote, so independence, initiative, and deep cultural awareness are essential.

We’ve created a dedicated page to help you learn more about Indigenous policing in Ontario, and the unique role these services play in supporting and protecting their communities.
